The word “assignment” makes us feel lethargic, reminds us of “important things” we were supposed to do, and makes us procrastinate till the assignment is due, probably the next day! (The list is by no means exhaustive 🙂 ) Unbelievable to many (including the students, initially), the assignments in the Market Research program are interesting to say the least ! Contrary to most institutions where the assignments are based on answering a set of questions, the ones at Northpoint require sincere efforts, hard work and creativity of the student.

There are great lectures and then  there are those which give a whole new dimension and direction to the  way we think. A misconception that creativity is an inborn talent and as an art, cannot be learnt was proved wrong in such a lecture. read more Adi Pocha- An Inspiring Teacher

I was more than a month into my summer vacation of 2013 and  I still hadn’t figured a convincing answer to “What’s your plan  ahead?”. Talking to my very futuristic friends who had everything  in place made me feel miserable. Well actually, miserable is an understatement  for that situation. I knew that I had to do something and it needed  to be done quickly. The lack of a strong network and contacts from the  industry led me nowhere at all. read more The Internship

Every entrepreneur dreams of building his/her own venture. But to bring it to life, you need to get your hands dirty. It takes a visionary to conceptualize an idea; but it takes an architect to build it.

On Sunday, 14th September, the Industry Interface Council of Northpoint India organized a guest lecture on the topic “Entrepreneurship in Digital Media”. The founders of Homegrown.co.in a youth media start up, Varun Patra (Creative Head), Varsha Patra (Business Head) and Mandovi Menon (Editor in chief) shared the journey of Homegrown and gave valuable tips to the Northpointers. read more Homegrown on Campus

It is strange how sometimes the way things just happen. One moment we were sitting through a session on Project Management, and the next moment we come to know that Arnab Goswami is on the campus, and we might get to have an interaction with him!

Finishing our lunch in record time, we rushed towards the upper campus and waited patiently (as patiently as a group of forty one restless students can be). Finally we were ushered into the conference room and there he was sitting very coolly in a persona very different from the one we see on TV. Ruffled hair, unbuttoned shirt and a more hip glass frame. read more Arnab Unlocked

I remember myself being a completely unrefined individual, having my own naïve definition of the word “Professionalism”.  This one year 2013-14, changed my life and me as person. Northpoint gave me another perspective to life. This one year, taught me the real meaning of not only professionalism but true dedication towards anything in life. read more My unforgettable journey

In the upper recesses of the misty hills in the Sahyadri Range, ruins of the fort Lohagad still hold the legacy of the Satavahanas. Built by the royal dynasty of Satavahana Empire, after having been conquered by the Chalukyas, Bahamanis, Yadavas and Rashtrakutas, it was gifted to Shivaji Maharaja of the Marathas centuries later and eventually destroyed by the British read more Conquering Lohagad

To mark the commencement of the new academic year, the new batch of PGP 2014-15, at Northpoint participated in a tree plantation activity.

It isn’t every day that you open the website of your college and are stunned by the beauty of the college campus. Even rarer? Reaching that campus and realizing that the pictures pale in comparison to the beauty before your eyes.

Stacked row upon row of wood, stone and glass is the Northpoint Centre of Learning, gleaming amongst sheets of torrential rain, enhancing the stunning landscape and the architecture of the buildings. read more The genesis of PGP 2014-15

Around the same time last year, like any other engineer, I was apprehensive about my future and the Marketing role that I would need to take up. Being cajoled into taking up engineering, it was stressful to find a school which would consider my passion for both, an analytical bent of mind as well as for consumer behaviour.

For me, there are three things that stand out about the Northpoint – Nielsen PGPMR program. read more Memoirs of a Marketing Researcher: A journey to cherish for a lifetime
